Paintings
Paintings are original acrylic or oil paintings on either canvas or cradled wooden panels. Paintings are, unless otherwise specified, unframed, and are ready to hang (with d-rings and hanging wire ). The edges of the canvases/panels are painted, and the effect is of a finished- wrap-around piece. Paintings do not require additional framing. Paintings are titled, dated, and signed on the back (I do not like to sign paintings on the front - in the image space - since the signature distracts from the painting’s effect).

Works on Paper
Works on paper are original paintings in watercolor, gouache, acrylic, and/or mixed media. They are unframed, and are signed and dated on the front, but outside of the image space.

Pricing
Pricing for paintings and works on paper vary by size. Sales tax and packaging/shipping costs are in addition to the stated price, and will be calculated at the time you place your order.

Shipping
Shipping is by UPS. Packaging and shipping costs are at a flat rate, which varies according to the size of the work. Packaging/Shipping rates are (per item):
Paintings - Small: $60
Paintings - Medium: $100
Paintings - Large: $150
Works on Paper: $30

Intellectual Property Matters

  • Reproduction rights
    While it may seem counter-intuitive, when you buy a painting (or any artwork), you own the physical painting, but not the intellectual property rights to the painting. You absolutely have the right to share images of your painting on social media. I would only ask that you credit me when you do. If you would like to reproduce your painting on a personal holiday card or similar personal use (i.e., not for sale, advertising, or other commercial use), just contact me for permission. Any commercial use of the painting would require a license from me for that commercial use.
